The village is divided into two sections - the Upper Village with a Harbour and the Lower Village with the sandy strands beaches. In the Upper village there are the Flat Rocks which slope gently towards the sea and are great for angling. Above these there is a cliff walk along the cliffs for about 3 miles west of the village towards Portally Cove. In the Lower village there are a number of sandy beaches and coves that are great for swimming and diving.
